We are using innovative tools and reactor configurations to accomplish high-rate wastewater treatment with a particular emphasis on nutrients and micropollutant removal. One such concept we are using is an activated carbon-based reactive migrating biocarrier. In another attempt, we have been using pure oxygen to achieve high-rate treatment.
